Masonry

Pinterest-Style Image Galleries

Masonry is a dynamic grid image gallery that changes to fit any screen width. The design of this stack is inspired by the random 'scatter-grid' styled walls of images that websites like Pinterest, Tumblr and Flickr use. With an optional lightbox effect, Masonry makes the perfect, flexible gallery that grows with your portfolio. Masonry is ideal for use in instances where you have images of different shapes and sizes.

Masonry is modern. The CSS column layout ensures smooth rendering of image collections and no FOUC (flash of unstyled content); which is commonly an irritating problem in masonry grids with heavy reliance on Javascript. Our optional lightbox effect is opitmized for retina display devices; letting you feed-in HiRes image files to showcase your photography at its best.

Setup

Follow these five simple steps for getting Masonry setup and working in your RapidWeaver website.

  1. Once installed, open your Stacks library. Search for 'Masonry'. Drag and drop a copy of the stack into your page
  2. Click the blue button to add either a single dropped image or linked image brick
  3. With the brick selected in edit mode, provide the images and title (caption) content. Continue to add more bricks
  4. Select the main Masonry stack in edit mode to adjust both the grid and lightbox styling
  5. Preview your webpage to see the result. Publish when done.
